United States: Transparency International suggests that countries are failing at their corruption promises

Transparency International has established itself as a leading body on matters related to Bribery and Corruption. According to the Transparency International’s recent and yearly survey 131 out of 180 countries did not make any progress towards countering corruption in the past decade.

The reputation of more than two dozen countries reached all-time lows, with the report indicating that many countries had paired back bureaucratic procedure as a result of the pandemic.

The US has been taking particular interest in the survey, which indicates that it still has much to do in improving it’s corruption reputation which suffered during Donald Trump’s tenure. The countries score was 67/100 in this year’s survey.
