Telecommunications company, Ericsson, violated an agreement with the US DoJ on account of withheld evidence of corruption in Iraq.
Ericsson is accused of funnelling millions of dollars to the Islamic State between 2011 and 2019. Eventually, Erisson was able to settle with the DoJ for around $1 billion and this latest revelation underlines the difficulties that the firm has been facing.
Ericsson has not provided any details of the nature of the corruption or the case.
