United Kingdom: Tony’s Chocolonely admits to 1700 cases of child labour within its supply chain

Sustainable chocolate brand, Tony’s Chocolonely has admitted to finding 1700 cases of child labour within it’s supply chain. Despite finding more cases than in previous years, the company insists that this is indicative of positive change within its supply chain and that its stance on the matter is working. Tony’s will work with these families to address the problems.

The company has previously been condemned for its relationship with Barry Callebaut, who have had a track record of Modern Slavery, but remain resolute that, due to the segregation of Tony’s beans, their chocolate is free from Modern Slavery.
