The number of suspected victims of Modern Slavery in the UK continues to rise, reaching it’s highest level in a decade with over 12,500 potential victims being identified last year. This figure is up 20% on 2020 numbers.
31% of these cases claim that they were exploited overseas.
This has been identified as a worrying trend, especially given that it appears young people are becoming even less willing to engage with authorities than before.
