Judges have overturned a second SFO criminal ruling that will now be reviewed by the UK Government. Paul Bond was originally found guilty of conspiring to bribe public officials over the right to oil contracts in Iraq. This ruling has now been overturned by a court of appeals.
The decision comes in the wake of several high profile failures by the SFO in recent times, including both its cases against Unaoil and Serco.
