Aarti Maharaj is the Digital Content Editor of Compliance week, published by Wilmington plc, it is an information service on corporate governance, risk and compliance that features weekly electronic newsletters, a monthly print magazine, proprietary databases, industry-leading events, and a variety of interactive features and forums.
Aarti has been a Business Journalist for more than five years. At Compliance Week, Aarti oversees all content relating to ebooks, ibooks and in-depth reports covering corporate governance, audit, compliance and corporate social responsibility. She is responsible for the weekly “Global Glimpses” column, which discusses developments at the International Accounting Standards Board, as well as global regulation, anti-bribery, and corruption enforcement, along with other compliance developments abroad. Previously, Aarti was a senior writer at AECOM Technology Corporation, a Fortune 500 global infrastructure firm, where she developed and rolled out all internal and external communications around global ethics and compliance. Prior to this, she was Deputy Editor of Corporate Secretary Magazine where she managed all online, features and print editorial content relating to corporate governance, sustainability, compliance and risk management. She regularly speak and moderate events on topics relating to compliance, corporate governance, ethics, CSR and journalism. Aarti graduated from Fordham University and attended Stanford Law School on a corporate governance media fellowship. Aarti is also an Adjunct Lecturer at LaGuardia Community College in New York City.
