The Australian Modern Slavery Act (the Act) was passed on the 29 November 2018 and the reporting requirements came in to force as of 1 January 2019. The Act requires companies (with annual revenue exceeding AUD 100 million) to publish annual statements defining what they are doing to prevent slavery in their supply chain and operations, and actions to address those risks
Many organisations in Australia have now submitted their first Modern Slavery Statements.
