Malaysia: Malaysian anti-graft agency investigating missing S$83k allegedly stolen from former minister Syed Saddiq

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has opened an investigation into the large sum of money that allegedly went missing from the home of Malaysia’s former youth and sports minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

In a statement on Tuesday (March 31), the anti-graft agency said a complaint has been lodged and the case is being investigated under the MACC Act 2009.

Though the statement did not name the former minister, it is believed to be Mr Syed Saddiq after he lodged a police report over a burglary at his house.
