Europe: Standard Chartered Increasing Internal Anti-Bribery Measures

Standard Chartered is not pleased to have received 62 bribery and corruption reports last year, 28 of which were internally discovered to have been backed up by substantive evidence. To counter this, the bank will be increasing internal Anti-Corruption measures and is said to have disciplined 10 staff for breaching controls.

None of the cases had been publicly bought against the bank or any of its employees, the bank announced.
