A six-month investigation across two continents by Fairfax Media and The Huffington Post has alleged that billions of dollars of government contracts were awarded as the result of bribes paid on behalf of leading global firms. The investigation centres on a Monaco company called Unaoil, run by the jet-setting Ahsani clan.
A massive leak of confidential documents has implicated dozens of leading companies, bureaucrats and politicians in a sophisticated global web of bribery and graft and could be the start of a wave of investigations to follow.
