Jeffrey Webb, a former high-ranking FIFA official accused of corruption, pleaded not guilty in Brooklyn federal court Saturday.
The court appearance was Mr. Webb’s first after agreeing to be extradited from Switzerland to the U.S. earlier this week.
Mr. Webb, a former vice president of FIFA, soccer’s world governing body, became the first of seven men arrested in dawn raids in Zurich at the end of May to come to the U.S. to face federal corruption charges related to the sale of media and marketing rights to soccer tournaments.
