The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/sCYdh7 ) 29-year-old Jonetta F. Bennett admitted to U.S. District Judge James J. Brady that she encouraged a contractor, identified only as "K.C.," to inflate her expense claims and split the extra money with Bennett. According to a plea agreement, "K.C." worked for a nonprofit corporation that received a $22,000 program grant for the fiscal year that ran between July 1, 2009, and June 30, 2010. Bennett encouraged "K.C." to inflate her expenses to $13,129.
