USA: Former executive of state-owned company ordered to stand trial on corruption charges
A former executive of state-owned Mexican electricity utility CFE has been ordered to stand trial on corruption charges, judicial officials said. The Council of the Judicature, which oversees the federal judiciary, said in a statement Friday that Judge Taissia Cruz Parcero ordered Nestor Moreno Diaz held in pre-trial detention on charges of illegal enrichment. The judge said the federal Attorney General's Office submitted sufficient proof that the executive "illegally increased his net worth by more than 30 million pesos (some $2.3 million)."
