mercurynews.com on December 19, 2011 reported that two former employees of the Sacramento Public Library and the wife of one of them have been found guilty of corruption related to a contract for building maintenance. Prosecutors said James Mayle (“MAY-lee”) and his wife, Janie Rankins-Mayle, were convicted Monday of grand theft and bribery by a Sacramento County jury. James Mayle, the library’s former security director, also was convicted of criminal conflict of interest. A separate jury previously convicted Dennis Nilsson, the library’s former maintenance supervisor, of 16 counts of grand theft, bribery and conflict of interest.
