The Denver mayor’s office distanced itself Monday from a city employee charged with two counts of bribery.
Larry Stevenson, who works in the Excise and Licensing Department, is accused of taking several thousand dollars in bribes from a businessman who wanted him to help secure contracts or subcontracts at Denver International Airport without going through a formal bidding process.
Stevenson allegedly accepted $5,500 from the businessman. He was not able to influence the contract process.
