Sentencings for former Corrections Commissioner Christopher Epps and businessman Cecil McCrory have been delayed.
Epps pleaded guilty in February to two counts of corruption. He was indicted in November on 49 counts alleging that Epps took bribes and kickbacks from McCrory, a Rankin County businessman, that totaled almost $1 million.
Epps resigned as Mississippi Department of Corrections commissioner, a position he had held since 2002, and gave up his assets, including $1 million, his Flowood home, a Gulf Coast condo and two Mercedes.
