The court ruled Thursday that Marius Petcu must repay a businessman bribes he took worth 1.4 million lei ($429,120). Prosecutors allege Petcu received ($26,820) a month in bribes since 2009 to facilitate contracts for a building company. The union leader denies the allegations.
