The Romanian anticorruption prosecutors last night held the Romanian Opera’s general manager Razvan Ioan Dinca and another of the institution’s employees in a corruption case.
The two are investigated for abuse of office, false statements and conflict of interests.
The prosecutors and police have searched the Romanian Opera headquarters for several hours on May 12 looking for evidence to support their case. They were mostly interested in public procurement documents related to the revamping of the Opera’s grand hall, as well as service contracts, according to judicial sources, cited by local Mediafax.
