Malaysian authorities have issued arrest warrants for two former senior 1MDB officials as investigators step up the probe into the scandal-hit state investment fund.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission issued the warrants for Jasmine Loo Ai Swan, ex-general counsel at 1MDB, and Casey Tang Keng Chee, the fund’s former executive director, a person with knowledge of the investigation said on Thursday. The whereabouts of the two was unknown, the person added.
The Malaysian police did not respond to requests for comment on the arrest warrants.
