Liberia: VP Boakai Extols GC Re-Assessment of Anti-Corruption Strategy
Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has described as “a worthwhile initiative” by the Governance Commission (GC) the reassessment of the impact and shortfalls of the National Anti-Corruption strategy since its creation in 2006.
He said while the assessment will not provide all of the answers needed to respond to the problems identified, it will set the stage for an improved strategy that will enhance the fight against corruption in the country.
VP Boakai made the remarks Wednesday at a High-Level Assessment Roundtable on the National Anti-Corruption Strategy held at a local hotel in the Monrovia suburb of Sinkor.
