Israel’s Supreme Court today partially upheld the conviction of Ehud Olmert in the Holyland corruption trial sentencing him to serve 18 months in jail.
The sentence of another former Jerusalem mayor, Uri Lupolianski, was also reduced after he was acquitted of some of the bribery charges.
The former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is expected to begin serving his sentence on February 15, 2016.
“Now I feel like a heavy weight has been lifted”, he said.
