Ruth David, a former Tel Aviv prosector, has been arrested on suspicion of obstructing justice and committing ethics violations in the case of Ronel Fisher, a lawyer suspected of bribing police officers.
David, who became a partner in Fisher’s law firm after leaving the prosecutor’s office, was arrested Tuesday and is being questioned. She is suspected of coordinating testimonies and serving as Fisher’s messenger after he could no longer speak with people involved in his case.
Fisher is suspected of bribing police officers — asking clients under investigation for money to be paid to the officers, who in exchange would provide information on the clients’ cases.
