The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed on Sunday that investigators had searched a house in Central Jakarta belonging to Sofyan Basir, the president director of state-owned electricity firm PLN.
The search was related to earlier arrests pertaining to an alleged bribery case in the Riau-1 coal-fired power plant (PLTU) construction project.
Earlier, the KPK arrested Golkar Party lawmaker Eni Saragih along with another eight people, including an expert staff member, a driver and a businessman. On Saturday, the KPK named Eni a corruption suspect along with the person who allegedly offered the bribe, Johannes Budisutrisno Kotjo, one of the shareholders at energy firm BlackGold Natural Resources Limited.
