The Jakarta Anti-Corruption Court sentenced actor-turned-businessman Herman Felani on Tuesday to six years in jail for bribing city officials in exchange for awarding advertising contracts to his companies. The former actor will also be required to pay a Rp 200 million fine or serve an additional four months jail term. He was found guilty on three bribery cases, causing Rp 4.7 billion ($512,000) in state losses. On top of the Rp 200 million fine, Herman was given one month to repay an additional Rp 1.34 billion to compensate for the state losses he has caused.
