The CBI has examined two senior officials working with the Indian arm of global software major Microsoft in connection with its probe against Rajendra Kumar, principal secretary to the Delhi CM, who is accused of favouring a private firm in award of contracts worth Rs 9.5 crore.
The agency took the officials’ versions to verify if they had any prior association with either the firm or the senior IAS officer named in the agency’s First Information Report (FIR) registered on December 14 last year, said an agency source.
The source said the examination is part of the agency’s exercise to ascertain the role of others in alleged irregularities connected to the case. The officials were examined this week, said the source.
