“Drawings” was one of the code words for bribe in the controversial Louis Berger bribery case used by officials to get kickbacks, investigators tracking the case have stated.
Elaborating on this, Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said, “During investigation, a word which came to my attention was ‘drawings’. Four drawings, six drawings.. It is a technical term used in engineering, which is why when you say ‘drawings’, no one will doubt,” he said.
In a related development, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has said the Centre will extend all possible assistance to expose the “scams” during Congress rule in Goa, terming the Louis Berger bribery case as just the “tip of the iceberg”.
