The anti-corruption bureau on Thursday served notices to two oil and gas firms, RIL and Niko, and called two senior officials of the firms, PMS Prasad and Larry Fisher, to join investigations next week, sources said. The FIR was registered by ACB in the case which Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had termed as the “gas pricing scam.”
Last year, an FIR (number 17) was registered naming Reliance Industries Ltd chief Mukesh Ambani, then oil minister Veerappa Moily, former oil minister Murli Deora, and ex-director general (hydrocarbons) VK Sibal as accused.
Ambani and others figured in the content pages of the 38-page FIR, though their names don’t figure in the column that specifically names the accused. However, ACB sources, police and legal fraternity said that was only a technicality and it was the body of the FIR which mattered for the investigating agency.
