Finnair announced on Friday that police are investigating the sale of the apartment owned by the airline’s CEO Mika Vehvilainen to Ilmarinen as possible bribery. Ilmarinen’s CEO Harri Sailas is the chairman of the board of Finnair. Since the sale, Vehviläinen has lived in the apartment as Ilmarinen’s tenant.
“This is a new phase, now that the preliminary investigation threshold has been crossed. It is a good thing that this matter is thoroughly investigated”, Hautala said on Friday.
