China’s anti-graft authorities will soon announce the results of their investigation into disgraced former presidential aide Ling Jihua, reports Duowei News, a US-based Chinese political news outlet.
The announcement is expected to come in the next week or so from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, China’s top anti-corruption watchdog, prior to the annual Communist Party leadership conference at the beach resort district of Beidaihe in north China’s Hebei province.
Chinese state media declared last December that the 59-year-old Ling, once the political “fixer” of former Chinese president Hu Jintao, had been placed under a graft probe, though there has been no progress in his case since.
