The ethics committee of Brazil’s lower house of Congress on Wednesday failed again to decide on whether to conduct a probe that could ultimately strip Speaker Eduardo Cunha of his post.
A new committee meeting has been scheduled for Thursday morning.
Wednesday’s session was the committee’s fifth attempt to carry on a vote to start the process, but the deliberations were halted by a decision by a house leader and ally of Mr. Cunha.
