NSW Labor boss Kaila Murnain has quit, seven weeks after being suspended on full pay following her explosive evidence at a corruption inquiry into the party.
The party confirmed Ms Murnain resigned as general secretary this morning.
A statement from NSW Labor President Mark Lennon said the terms of Ms Murnain’s resignation included her “basic legal requirements”, however her final payout remained confidential.
Ms Murnain’s resignation comes after she told the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in August that she discovered the party received a prohibited donation but was asked to keep quiet.
