Risk & Resilience Business Assessment with APRI

Unparalleled supply chain risk assessment with ethiXbase’s Advanced Predictive Risk and Resilience Indicators – our fully automated risk benchmarking and scoring tool.

Our Mission: Automate risk and resilience assessment to benchmark entire
supply chains across ESG metrics

The Advanced Predictive Risk and Resilience Indicator (APRI) is an automated risk assessment tool enabling clients to efficiently benchmark suppliers for both negative media mentions, signifying risk, and company policies indicative of business resilience. This identification enables proportionate responses to scored risk or resilience situations faced by your business. Aligned with the UNGC, the APRI conducts these searches across factors, including Anti-Bribery, Human Rights, Labour and the Environment – providing a comprehensive overview into each supplier.

Our Benefits

Comprehensive Risk & Resilience Insights

Negative media assessment employing an extensive list of global sources extracts key risk information about your suppliers. When benchmarked against peers, this enables you to identify any negligence or potential mismanagement within your supply chain. Coupled with our in-house resilience modelling algorithm, the APRI provides an ideal environment to confidently future proof your supply chain operations.

A Complete Platform For Your Business Needs

The APRI assessment provides the basis for a holistic process to manage and escalate supply chain risks. Our uniquely powerful SaaS platform enables you to manage and monitor 100% of your third parties before incisively escalating due diligence in key areas. A process configurable to your specification, enabling maximum value. Whether you wish to use ethiXbase’s tested risk banding or configure to your organisation’s risk-appetite, our client success team can manage your businesses entire risk assessment journey.

To determine Moderate levels, we have used the APRI on 100 members of the UNGC Active & Learners Group. To determine the Strong level, we used the APRI results for the Global Compact 100 which is a stock index composed of a representative group of UN Global Compact companies, selected based on implementation of the Ten Principles and evidence of executive leadership commitment.

Strong risk has been determined by looking at companies with known major cases - we used the companies involved in the Top 30 FCPA cases for the anti-bribery indicator. For Moderate, we used a group of companies with less publicised cases that we found through our Enhanced Due Diligence and independent research.

The main function of the global filters is to enable a view of the supplier base. This allows insights such as into how many and which major suppliers have no carbon neutrality program in place or operate in a country that scores poorly on the global air and climate index.

APRI is a pre-classification tool that covers 4 broad categories (Anti-Bribery, Environmental, Human Rights, and Labour) across both risk and resilience. The APRI is a filter or sorting tool, which allows numerical scoring of third parties (weak, moderate, or strong) across these 4 risk and resilience areas.

It does not generate a report, rather a numeric score plotted on graphs within the ethiXbase 360 platform.

While GreenLITE can use APRI as a starting point in a risk escalation process, they are separate products. GreenLITE Explore is a broader and more detailed reporting tool on a third parties ESG criteria which provides a deeper and more granular insight into core ESG areas.

IDD+ is a screening service. It checks a third party name against databases of politically exposed persons, adverse media, and global sanctions lists to produce a report, which is remediated by our team where necessary. Further, IDD+ has ongoing monitoring against these datasets as a core feature. There is no technological overlap between APRI and IDD+.

The APRI is a pre-classification tool in order to identify third parties who may require further review. It is a risk assessment tool, which allows clients to then filter their third parties based on their risk and allocate compliance resources efficiently.

APRI is a risk theme specific scoring tool. A configured PRI™ is unique to a client's own risk criteria, where we automate their risk assessment for them based on the risks identified in their own risk assessment criteria.
